The lights would dim for no reason, and I couldn't use the microwave and toaster at the same time without causing a fuse to blow. Then, things got seriously scary. When I turned on the dishwasher, there were loud popping noises and I knew I had to act fast, so I turned off the main power then I noticed smoke from a light in the basement which I then called the Fire Department.
